Looking Good

Recently, David was resting next to me on the couch with his head in my lap. I carefully removed his glasses.

"You know, honey," I said sweetly, "Without your glasses, you look like the same handsome young man I married."

"Honey," he replied with a grin. "Without my glasses, you still look pretty good too!"

Hey Dubby! I'm not so sure you should have "published" this true and very funny joke on this blog first. I think you should have submitted it to Reader's Digest FIRST. I definitely think they would have accepted it, and you would have made a few bucks off of it, not to mention becoming famous!:) Perhaps it's not too late to do so! However, it wouldn't surprise me if it will be too late by the time you read my suggestion. Why? Because I feel if a non-acquaintence HAS read this I think they probably decided to immediately send it in to be published; but, they probably would have replaced the name, "David," with "my husband," before doing so....Of course, you might be way ahead of me, and may have, indeed, already sent it off to see if it will be accepted for publication. Just think! You could boast that something you recently wrote got published in a National Magazine!...Just a thought!:)

On second thought, I think it would sound EVEN better if you said that you recently "got published" (professional writer's lingo:D) in a National "Periodical!":D

Oops! Remember, just like I told Dianna, I really did NOT read this blog, and I really did NOT write all the above comments, either!:)....

Alright, now I'm going to count slowly backwards from 5 to 1; when you hear me say 1, you will come to full and awakening conscience, but you will not remember any of this. (Hee!Hee! Yes, I have, indeed, totally lost it! However, you do have to admit this sure beats getting angry and exploding, and then publishing on the www something I would REALLY regret!....Oops! I guess I've...uh...um...already done that. (said sheepishly and with a red face)....Toodles!
